UNC Rex Healthcare, based in Raleigh, N.C., is using a combination of Phononic Evolve refrigerators to handle cooling right near patients, in the pharmacy and in medicine rooms. The solid state refrigerators provide precise temperatures to help keep fragile medicines safe and store them near patients without the noise of compressor-based fridges.
